The Giggling Marlin Team caught and released a Blue Marlin on the third day of fishing to take the First Place Trophy by 22.60 points.  On Course finished in Second Place with 800 points.  Easy Rider scored 39.65 points on a Wahoo on Day 3 to take Third Place honors by less than two points.  They also received 1st Place Wahoo in the Fun Fish Division for the catch.  First Place Dolphin in the Fun Fish Division went to the Finesse with a 48.95 lb. fish weighed in on the last day.

Day two of the Key West Marlin Tournament proved to very exciting, with three Blue Marlin, One White Marlin, and a Spear Fish released. Each boat is pushing hard to be the next winner of the Key West Marlin Tournament, but On Course has quite a lead with 800 points for the two days. There is a close race for second and third place with five boats scoring Marlin points. The current front runners in the Fun Fish  division is Miss Kasey with a 34.2 pound Dolphin and Hooked Up with a 35.2 pound Wahoo. No Tuna has been caught as of yet. We'll see what today brings...

The 25th annual 2007 Key West Marlin Tournament kicked off on Wednesday with 56 boats and over 300 participants registering for the event.  The 56 teams will be competing for $50,000 in guaranteed cash prizes as well as an additional $200,000 in available bonus prizes.

The Easy Rider team from Key West, Florida and the On Course team from Tampa, Florida both released blue marlin to score 400 points.  Numerous other marlin were hooked up and lost.  The Energizer team with anglers from Oak Hill, Virginia and Sea Wolf team from Ft. Myers, Florida each released sailfish to score 50 points.  Over 25 dolphin were weighed in with the heaviest being 31.00 lbs.caught aboard the Koko from Cudjoe Key, Florida.  Only 3 wahoo were weighed in and only one exceeded the 15 lb. minimum weight.
